Driver Education Instructor

We are looking for a driving instructor to conduct on-the-road instruction at least 2 weekdays after school from 3-5 pm, with the possibility of additional hours earlier in the day, based on student need. Additional hours are available during school vacations. Classroom instruction hours may be available if you have classroom teaching experience.

Requirements: Massachusetts Professional Driving Instructor (PDI) status through the Massachusetts RMV. Candidates who do not already possess PDI status may train with CCACE for free; employment is contingent upon PDI certification. Duties:

• Teaching on-road lessons in the Driver Ed car.
• Creating a respectful and productive teaching environment.
• Providing helpful feedback to students about their learning and driving skills.
• Making accurate and complete records.
• Maintaining impeccable safety standards at all times

The successful candidate will:

• Have some experience teaching or working with teenagers.
• Be available for at least 2 after school lessons per week.
• Communicates clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Be punctual and extremely reliable.

Please note: If you are not already a certified PDI, we can train you, however the training hours are not paid.
