Driver Commissions

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Driver commissionsis also a delivery driver whodrivesthe company vehicle to safely deliver the goods to restaurantson a daily basis. You will be receiving the base pay plus the site-specific commissions. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Packing,loadingand unloading delivery vans and trucks

• Deliveringfoodto customers on designated routes

• Unload products and place items in customer storage area.

• Maintaining regular communication with route dispatchers or managers

• Offload the items from the truck and review deliveries with recipients to ensurethey’reaccurate

• Obtaining delivery confirmations from customersby having them to sign the invoice

• Cleaning and servicing van or truck for the next delivery

• Any other duties as assigned by the management

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• A good history of DMV/MVR record

• Possess a valid driver's licenseappropriate forthe class of vehicle 

• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card

• Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws

• Strong time management and customer service skills

• Attention to detail

• Able to use forklift orpalletjack to move the pallets and/or products

• Successfully passbackgroundcheck including criminalhistoryand drug screening

Physical Requirements:

• Successfully pass DOT physical exam

• Successfully passing the Human Performance Evaluation on Lift, Lift-Carry, Push-Pull, Climb, and Repetitive Posture. 

• The employee must be able to see and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depthperceptionand the ability to adjust focus

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee willbe requiredto movefrequently, stand, walk, and sit. 

• Frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and toreach withhands and arms. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs and may occasionally lift and/or move up to75lbs

• Repetitive hand use is, including pushing andpulling up to 50lbs, reaching above shoulder

• Frequent bending and squattingare

• The employee must be able to legallyoperatea motor vehicle and safely andfrequentlyenter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

• High school or GED equivalent.

• Provenbox truck or at least 24 ft- long truck driving experience.
