Description
Hiring, Full-Time Position for an individual who is able to daily move between duties that include: driving companies' fleet of vehicles; some dock work, and as needed, support our Shipping Dept. job functions to serve the needs of business in a job shop environment.
1 st Shift: Mon Friday 7 a.m. 3:30 p.m.
Pay Rate: $20/hr.

REQUIRED:
- Current Motor Carrier Card necessary.
- Good driving record and history for insurability purposes (under 2 points)
- Previous experience in a similar position
- Forklift experience
- Experience driving both Manual and Automatic transmissions:
- Soft side 24 ft. bed box: Manual / 26 ft. bed box trucks (Automatic) / Industrial Transit Van
- Physically fit/ able to meet the demands of working a full day in a production environment
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. / manual dexterity/sitting, bending, squatting, reaching, pushing/pulling
- Mechanically inclined and familiar with the use of hand and air tools
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
- Attention to detail
- Requires high school diploma or equivalent
- Driving / Delivery
- Loading vehicles
- Experience utilizing Forklift and pallet jack
- Good Customer Service attitude and presence
- Local deliveries:
- The majority of trips are local to Columbus and surrounding areas: could include runs to Pitts/ PA, etc. but NO OVERNIGHTS
- Truck maintenance (follow company procedures re; inspections at the start of shift: tires, lights) check fluid levels / cleaning interior cab regularly /
- Prepare Skids and products for shipping:
- Prep skids: retrieve product to ship, secure it to skid without damage to freight, use straps, secure product to the truck itself via racks, etc.
- Experience with Banders;
- Both (metal and plastic)
- Shrink Wrap Machine
- Some receiving activities:
- Loading and distribution to proper area (knowledge gained on the job)
- Verify loads that are taken to and from customer
- Software knowledge to make shippers and labels
- Dependable, good representative, customer presentation
- Other duties as assigned.
