Driver and Operations Support

Position Overview: Berks Career & Technology Center (BCTC) is seeking a dependable, safety-minded individual to join our East Campus team as a Driver and Operations Support employee.

This position is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting high school students while also providing general transportation and operational support to the school. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, sound judgment, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration. Must possess a current federal Commercial Drivers’ License (CDL) with valid PA endorsements for school bus and air brakes. 

In addition to student transportation, responsibilities will also include internal mail and bank runs, picking up supplies, vehicle cleaning and inspections, and assisting with maintenance and custodial tasks as assigned.

Compensation: Starting salary is $24.00/hour, with a guaranteed $1.25/hour increase effective July 1, 2027.

Work Schedule:        Full-time, 10-month position
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
30-minute duty-free lunch
