4 A Better U is seeking a dependable and responsible Driver to provide safe transportation for adults with developmental disabilities to and from program activities, appointments, community outings, and other scheduled destinations.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 am to 2 pm
Location: Hawthorne, CA and surrounding areas
Job Responsibilities
- Safely transport participants to and from scheduled destinations.
- Assist participants with entering and exiting the vehicle as needed.
- Follow assigned transportation schedules and routes.
- Maintain professional and respectful interactions with participants, families, and 4 ABetter U staff.
- Conduct basic vehicle safety checks and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of assigned vehicles.
- Follow all 4 A Better U transportation, safety, and participant-service policies.
- Immediately report accidents, incidents, delays, or participant concerns to management.
- Complete required transportation logs and other documentation.
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license and good driving record.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow established schedules.
- Ability to safely work with and transport adults with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to assist participants with mobility and transportation needs, as required.
- Must satisfy applicable background clearance and employment requirements.
- Prior professional driving, caregiving, or experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
