JOB DESCRIPTION

The Drilling Specialist is responsible for supporting drilling operations to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements. This role is primarily field-based and involves hands-on participation in geotechnical construction activities.

Responsibilities

(Including but not limited to):

  • Support the Superintendent with daily field operations related to soil nail walls, micro-piles, tiebacks, and other geotechnical construction projects.
  • Perform and assist with drilling activities to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and schedules.
  • Follow and support all Company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements at all times.
  • Assist in maintaining quality control standards to ensure work meets project and engineering specifications.
  • Operate, inspect, and assist in the maintenance of drilling equipment and related tools; promote proper equipment care and usage.
  • Communicate effectively with Superintendents, Project Managers, and Operations personnel regarding job progress, challenges, and field conditions.
  • Report jobsite progress, safety concerns, equipment issues, and any project-related risks or delays to the Superintendent.
  • Assist with coordinating daily work activities and sequencing of tasks as directed by the Superintendent.
  • Support team members in completing assigned tasks while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
  • Contribute input on equipment needs, production methods, and workflow improvements based on field experience.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance technical skills, safety awareness, and industry knowledge.
