Driller Helper $20-22/h

Day to Day: Assist the Driller with geotechnical drilling operations (soil borings, sampling, site investigations). Includes: 5 days PTO, Paid Holiday, Per-diem, Gas Card, Company Vehicle, and more!

Conditions:

• Fully On-site
• 50% Travel required around Ohio and boardering states (Michigan and Pennsylvania)
• Some overnight stay during the week
• Occasional weekends (Rare)
• 40–50-hour work weeks

Interview Process: 1 round interview - 20 minutes on-site

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to perform physical labor (lifting 50+ lbs repeatedly)
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Prior experience in construction, field work, or labor-intensive roles
• Willingness to travel to job sites and stay out of town as needed
• Basic mechanical aptitude or comfort working with tools/equipment

Pluses:

• Exposure to geotechnical or environmental drilling
• CDL or experience driving trucks/equipment
• OSHA certifications or safety training
• Experience with equipment maintenance or small engine repair
• Interest in growing into a Driller / Lead Operator role over time

Day to Day:

• Assist the Driller with geotechnical drilling operations (soil borings, sampling, site investigations)
• Help mobilize/demobilize drill rigs and set up job sites
• Handle and transport drill rods, augers, casing, and tools
• Support soil and rock sample collection for testing and analysis
• Mix drilling fluids and assist with rig operation as directed
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment and vehicles
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe job site
• Complete field logs, assist with documentation, and track daily activities
• Travel to project sites and occasionally stay overnight during the work week
