This is a mid-level engineering position with the opportunity to grow into a Design Engineer role. We strongly believe in cross-training, collaboration, and continuously developing our team!

Here's What You Will Do!

ManufacturingPrints&Documentation

• Createandimprovefabrication,weldment,machining,assembly,andequipment drawings.

• Updateandmaintainmanufacturingprintstoimproveclarity,accuracy, manufacturing ability and consistency.

• Applycorrectdrawingannotationpractices,includingdimensions,tolerances, notes,andGD&Twhere applicable.

• SupportdocumentationimprovementsthathelpProduction,Service,Purchasing,andEngineeringworkmore efficiently.

CustomerApprovalDrawings

• Createcustomerapprovaldrawingsforcustomrollermills,otherRMSequipment,andequipmentlayouts.

• WorkthroughSalesandProjectCoordinationtosupportcustomersubmittals and approval drawingupdates.

• Reviseapprovaldrawingsbasedoncustomer,sales,projectcoordination,and engineering feedback.

• Helpensuredrawingsclearlycommunicateequipmentlayout,scope,andkey project details.

BOM,ERP&PurchasingSupport

• Create,update,andmaintainBillsofMaterialstosupportaccuratemanufacturingandpurchasing.

• UpdateERPdatatohelpensureparts,components,anddocumentationremain accurate.

• Placepurchaseordersforpartsandcomponentsasneeded.

• HelpsourcecomponentsandworkwithEngineeringtotrackdownnewcomponents and request quotes.

Engineering&DesignSupport

• WorkunderexperiencedDesignEngineerstodevelopyourowndesignand engineering experience.

• Supportnewandexistingequipmentdesignsbycreatingdrawings,updatingmodels,andimproving documentation.

• Assistwithcomponentselection,documentationupdates,anddesign changes.

• Helpidentifyopportunitiestoimproveproductquality,manufacturingefficiency,and drawing standards.

OperationsSupport&Troubleshooting

• SupportOperations,includingProductionandService,withequipmentandfabricationtroubleshooting.

• Spendtimeontheshopfloorreviewingfit-up,fabrication,assembly,machining,andproductionquestions.

• WorkwithEngineeringandProductionteammemberstoresolvedrawing,BOM, and manufacturing issues.

• Usefeedbackfromtheshopandserviceteamstoimprovedrawings,documentation, and future builds.

EducationandExperience:

• AssociatedegreeorhigherinDrafting,MechanicalDesign,Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.

• 2-4+yearsofstrongCAD/draftingexperiencepreferred.

• ExperiencewithSolidWorkspreferred,butnotrequired.

• Experiencecreatingfabrication,weldment,machining,assembly,andequipment drawings preferred.

• Experiencewithlaser/plasmacutting,welding,assembly,andmachiningpreferred.

• ExperiencewithASMEY14.5andGD&Tpreferred,withanemphasisoncorrect drawing annotation.

• ExperiencesupportingBOMupdates,purchasing,componentsourcing, or ERP/MRP, data is beneficial.

• Strongattentiontodetail,accuracy,ownership,andadrivetoimprove.

• WillingnesstoworkonsiteinHarrisburg,SDandcollaboratecloselywith Engineering, Operations, Sales, Project Coordination, Production and Service.
