    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Drafter II to support transmission line surveying and right-of-way projects. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of drafting experience and strong CAD skills related to survey, transmission line, right-of-way, boundary, and topographic drawings.

    An Associate Degree in Drafting and Design is preferred.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform CAD drafting for transmission line projects.
    • Prepare drawings for:
      • Transmission line centerlines
      • Right-of-way surveys
      • Boundary surveys
      • Topographic surveys
      • Land tie surveys
    • Interpret survey data, deeds, plats, and other property-related documents.
    • Prepare and write metes and bounds descriptions and centerline descriptions for assigned projects.
    • Research existing survey and real estate records.
    • Support survey field crews and office personnel with project-related drafting and documentation.
    • Contact local, county, and state agencies to obtain right-of-way and property information.
    • Review survey information for completeness and accuracy.
    • Organize and transmit completed project drawings and documentation.
    • Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, field crews, and other project personnel as needed.

    Qualifications

    • 2–5 years of drafting experience required.
    • Associate Degree in Drafting, Design, Surveying, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
    • Experience using CAD drafting software.
    • Experience with surveying, transmission lines, utilities, or right-of-way projects preferred.
    • Knowledge of metes and bounds, property descriptions, survey plats, and right-of-way documentation preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret deeds, surveys, maps, and engineering drawings.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with both field and office personnel.
