- Develop and update electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation in support of modeling and simulation systems, engineering activities, and manufacturing drawing packages.
- Create electrical system-level drawings, cable assembly drawings, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, assemblies, and related technical illustrations using AutoCAD and other applicable computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
- Work closely with electrical and mechanical engineers to develop, modify, and maintain drawings and technical documentation based on engineering requirements and design changes.
- Interface with engineering personnel to incorporate redline changes, field updates, engineering revisions, and other modifications into controlled drawing packages.
- Support the development and maintenance of drawings and documentation associated with modeling and simulation hardware, equipment, interfaces, and system configurations.
- Research and document part information for common hardware, electrical components, connectors, mechanical components, and other system elements; prepare and maintain parts lists and supporting spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel.
- Review drawings and technical documentation for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and compliance with established engineering and drafting standards.
- Maintain drawing and documentation files in accordance with established Configuration Management (CM) processes, including revision control, document identification, and change tracking.
- Work effectively in a process-oriented engineering environment at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, collaborating closely with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and other modeling and simulation personnel.
