    How you''ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)

    The Specialist, Audiovisual & Media is responsible for maintaining and supporting the Delta Flight Museum''s audiovisual, media, and exhibit technology systems. This role provides technical support for daily museum operations, facility rentals, and special events by troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring systems are operational and event ready.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and support the Museum''s audiovisual, media, exhibit, and event technology systems.
    • Perform routine testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
    • Ensure exhibit technology, digital displays, and AV systems are operational and guest ready.
    • Provide technical support for Museum events, rentals, and public programs.
    • Prepare, operate, and reset AV and media equipment for events and daily operations.
    • Assess event technology needs and coordinate requirements with staff, clients, vendors, and external AV providers.
    • Troubleshoot issues involving projection, audio, media playback, display, control, and networking systems.
    • Maintain equipment inventories, maintenance records, and technical documentation.
    • Escalate complex technical issues and assist with implementing solutions.
    • Support system upgrades, exhibit installations, and technology improvement projects.
    • Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage based on Museum and event schedules.

    Schedule:

    • Available weekends, holidays and evenings
    • Schedule is based on event needs
    • 32 hours per week

    The Delta Flight Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

    What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

    • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

    • Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles.

    • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

    • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

    • 3+ years of experience supporting audiovisual, media, exhibit technology, or related technical systems.

    • Experience troubleshooting audiovisual, display, audio, media playback, and control systems.

    • Experience supporting events, public venues, museums, visitor attractions, educational institutions, or similar environments.

    • Ability to consistently maintain professionalism

    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to proactively identify issues (or potential issues) and present reasonable solutions in a timely manner

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team environment

    • Knowledge working with the following

    • Projection systems and large format displays

    • Media playback and digital signage systems

    • Audio DSP and distributed audio systems

    • AV control systems

    • AV over IP distribution

    • Networking fundamentals supporting AV systems

    • Structural rack systems and signal flow troubleshooting
