Our client, a leader in pharmaceutical manufacturing and facility management, is seeking a Door Specialist/Technician to join their team. As a Door Specialist/Technician, you will be part of the Facility Management team supporting a large, diverse campus. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Door Specialist/Technician
Location: Harvard, MA
Pay Rate: $38- $40/hr
What's the Job?
- Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of doors including dock levelers, exterior sliding gates, and high-speed roll-up doors
- Install, configure, and maintain electronic access control systems such as proximity sensors, mag locks, and key access devices
- Perform mechanical inspections and checks on door hardware, ensuring proper functionality and safety compliance
- Support general maintenance activities like patching, painting, minor plumbing, and furniture repairs
- Document work performance, maintain safety standards, and communicate effectively with team members and management
What's Needed?
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot various door and gate systems
- Experience with brands such as Stanley, Dormakaba, Tormax, Chase, ASI, Schlage, or similar
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and control systems related to doors and access hardware
- Willingness to work in a team environment and maintain consistent attendance
