Door Assembly Technician
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour (Performance-based increase upon permanent hire)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
Overtime: 6:00 AM-4:30 PM as needed, with occasional weekends required

Door Assembly Technician Must-Have Requirements
- Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and air tools
- Sit-down forklift experience preferred
- Ability to read and follow blueprints is a plus
- Comfortable working independently
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Steel-toed boots required
Door Assembly Technician Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable Door Assembly Technician to build custom-engineered doors from the ground up. This position is responsible for assembling door components, interpreting blueprints, performing final assembly, and preparing finished products for shipment. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, has experience using tools, and takes pride in producing high-quality products.
This position requires dependable attendance during the training period and a commitment to following workplace procedures. Employees are expected to participate in daily housekeeping duties, maintain a clean and organized work area, take notes during training, and follow all safety and security policies. Personal cell phone use is prohibited during working hours and is only permitted during scheduled breaks and lunch. Steel-toed boots are required, while all other required personal protective equipment is provided.
Door Assembly Technician Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assembly & Fabrication
- Assemble custom doors from door cores using hand, power, and air tools
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure products are built to customer specifications
- Install hardware and complete final door and frame assembly
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy before shipment
Packaging & Shipping
- Build shipping skids and crates for finished products
- Prepare completed doors for safe transportation
- Verify all products are packaged according to shipping requirements
Quality & Production
- Measure materials accurately using a tape measure
- Follow detailed work instructions and assembly procedures
- Maintain quality standards throughout the fabrication process
- Report material or assembly issues to supervisors
Shop Support
- Operate a sit-down forklift as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Participate in routine shop housekeeping and facility cleaning
- Follow all company safety policies and production procedures
Door Assembly Technician Additional Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, assembly, carpentry, or fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read 2D and 3D blueprints is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Dependable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed
- Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and follow established procedures
