Donor Family Services Coordinator | Organ Procurement | Full-time | Days

Responsibilities: The Donor Family Services Coordinator responsibilities are to respond to the needs of organ donor families by developing and implementing appropriate after-care services, including grief counseling and bereavement support; by coordinating projects, programs and special events that promote the donor families' experiences; and by facilitating communication between donor families and transplant recipients. Two years of donor family after care experience within an organ procurement organization (OPO), tissue bank or eye bank.

Responsibilities:

The Donor Family Services Coordinator responsibilities are to respond to the needs of organ donor families by developing and implementing appropriate after-care services, including grief counseling and bereavement support; by coordinating projects, programs and special events that promote the donor families' experiences; and by facilitating communication between donor families and transplant recipients. Collaborate on other LifeQuest and donor program development department projects and campaigns as needed. Demonstrate ability to work independently, find creative solutions to problems and develop innovative ideas.

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm

Days: Monday-Friday

Location: Gainesville, FL

Qualifications:

Education 

Required: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, health sciences, social work or other related field

Experience

Required:

• Two years of case management, social work, hospice, grief counseling or related experience; OR
• Two years of donor family after care experience within an organ procurement organization (OPO), tissue bank or eye bank. 
• Must have exceptional writing, proofreading, communications, critical thinking and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills required.
