Qualifications
Cisco UC & Cloud Calling Expertise (Required)
Deep, hands‑on, current expertise across the Cisco UC and cloud‑calling stack, including:
Webex Calling (UCaaS) - both Multi‑Tenant and Dedicated Instance
On‑prem Cisco UC platforms that Webex Calling replaces, including:
Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
Unity Connection
IM & Presence
Expressway
CUBE
Emergency Responder with E911
Nomadic E911 solutions (RedSky or comparable)
Hands‑on experience with Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX) as part of voice migration workstreams
This role does not require deep Webex Contact Center / CCaaS expertise
UCCX experience is limited to migration and integration scenarios, not full contact center specialization
Microsoft Teams Voice (Strongly Preferred)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams Voice in:
Cloud configurations
Direct Routing deployments using AudioCodes or Cisco CUBE
Ability to operate fluently across both Cisco and Microsoft UC platforms
WWT customers do not align cleanly to a single OEM
Strong architects on this team work comfortably across both ecosystems
Pre‑Sales & Customer‑Facing Rigor (Required)
Demonstrated pre‑sales discipline, including:
Accurate level‑of‑effort estimation
Defensible solution scoping
Ability to articulate solution architecture at both technical and business levels
Proven success in customer‑facing pre‑sales conversations
Track record of strong pre‑sales closure rates is a meaningful differentiator
Automation, Development & AI Fluency (Required)
Hands‑on experience with modern automation and development tools, including:
REST APIs
Webhooks
JavaScript or comparable scripting languages
Ability to automate:
Webex Calling and Cisco UC configurations
Migration tooling
Documentation generation
Familiarity with Cisco's native AI capabilities within the Webex Calling cloud is a strong differentiator
Ability to actively contribute to AI‑assisted documentation, level‑of‑effort generation, and delivery productivity tooling
This role is expected to be a builder and contributor, not just a consumer, of AI‑enabled capabilities
Certifications (one or more required, more than one preferred):
Consulting and leadership qualifications:
The role demands advanced communication skills, including business and technical writing, executive-level presentations, and the ability to work successfully across all customer levels from C-level executives to end users. The Domain Architect must demonstrate the ability to lead architecture-development activities, drive comprehensive discovery and analysis, and make defensible technical and business recommendations. They must be capable of holding staff, contractors, and partners accountable to WWT best practices and templates, and of managing partner and vendor resources successfully.
Mentorship orientation is required - both formal (coaching peer architects and project engineers) and informal (knowledge transfer through paired engagements). The practice has multiple architects mid-cross-skill across Cisco and Microsoft UC platforms in 2026, and the Domain Architect is expected to be a teaching figure during that transition.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in a business or technology focused discipline, or equivalent demonstrated industry experience.
Travel:
Willing to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Preferred vertical experience:
Demonstrated technical consulting experience in one or more vertical sectors: government, public sector, higher education, finance, health care, technology, or other commercial.

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $160,000.00 to $180,000.00 annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.
