Join our team at Woofie’s of Frederick as a Dog Walker & Pet Sitter, where your passion for pets meets your love for the outdoors. In this rewarding role, you’ll provide safe, reliable, and compassionate care for pets while helping ensure they receive the exercise, attention, and companionship they deserve. Whether walking dogs, caring for pets in their homes, or providing updates to pet parents, you'll play an important part in enhancing the lives of pets and their families.


Responsibilities

• Walk dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments while ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Provide in-home pet sitting services, including feeding, playtime, companionship, and basic care.
• Follow detailed pet care instructions and maintain consistent care routines.
• Communicate with pet owners regarding their pets’ activities, behavior, and any concerns.
• Administer medications as directed and follow specific care requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment during pet visits.
• Document visit details and report notable observations.
• Build trusting relationships with pets and their owners through dependable, compassionate service.
• Work independently while managing schedules and multiple client visits.
• Remain flexible and adaptable to meet varying client and pet needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience in pet care, dog walking, pet sitting, veterinary services, animal rescue, or a related field is preferred.
• Genuine comfort working with animals of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Flexible schedule availability, including potential evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to manage multiple pets and follow detailed care instructions.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently.
• First Aid/CPR certification for pets is a plus.
• Must be punctual, reliable, trustworthy, and committed to providing exceptional pet care.
• Passion for animals and dedication to their health, safety, and well-being.
