DOE – Quality Control Manager (QCM)Location: Aiken, South Carolina Company: Chitina Diversified Services Department: Construction FLSA Status: Exempt | Full-TimeWage Range: $110,000-$130,000Position OverviewChitina Diversified Services is seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager (QCM) to support federal construction projects in Aiken, South Carolina.The QCM will lead project quality control activities and ensure construction complies with contractual requirements, specifications, approved submittals, applicable codes, and federal quality standards. The successful candidate will have significant federal construction QC experience and strong knowledge of construction inspection, documentation, testing, and closeout processes.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and perform daily project QC activities. Maintain QC reports, submittal logs, inspection records, and supporting documentation. Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance. Conduct and document QC meetings. Perform preparatory, initial, and follow-up inspections for definable features of work. Identify and document non-conforming work and verify corrective action. Verify materials and equipment comply with approved submittals. Coordinate and document testing, commissioning, code inspections, punch lists, and closeout. Maintain as-built drawings and required project records. Exercise stop-work authority when quality or safety requirements are compromised. Required/Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or 10 years of applicable construction experience. Minimum 5 years of QCM experience on federal/USACE construction projects. USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM-C) certification. OSHA 30-Hour certification. First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications. NQA-1 QA/QC experience preferred. United States Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance required. Strong understanding of civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical construction. Knowledge of construction sequencing, inspections, scheduling, and change-order impacts. Excellent organizational, documentation, communication, and leadership skills.
