Description

Responsibilities:

Noblis is seeking qualified military members who are eligible to participate in the DOD Skillbridge as a Policy Analyst/Strategist.


This is a program is an initiative to help transitioning active duty people to find meaningful employment opportunities and preparing them for the civilian workforce.
The Corporate Fellowship Program is 30 days
Involves hands-on experience and training
Supervisors and mentors share their experience and knowledge and provide feedback
Help you increase your professional network
Noblis is a Military Friendly company with over 25% being prior or current military

 

This position will support a contract with the Department of War or the Defense Threat Reduction Agency related to Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction. Specific details will be determined based on interest and availability at the time of start.  Possible areas of work may include: Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosives (CBRNE) operations, nuclear deterrence, counter-WMD policy, medical/biological defense, and advanced modeling & simulation

 

You are responsible for developing and applying basic skills in areas of specialization with clear direction from your supervisor. Responsibilities and individual tasks are generally non-complex, routine in nature and require minimal problem solving. As an employee, you: Work on simple, routine assignments of limited scope and complexity and perform clearly defined tasks requiring basic skills or certification and provide excellent service. Deliver entry-level technical, administrative, business or customer service support. Apply basic knowledge to resolve routine problems and complete assignments. Learn the work environment while handling a small, limited workload and seek assistance for complex issues and non-standard matters. Learn and implement policies, procedures, quality standards and compliance requirements. Receive close daily supervision.

Required Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance (Secret or TS/SCI depending on role)
  • Strong background directly aligned with the technical or analytical specialty area
  • Knowledge of the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction mission area and the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear threat space
  • Experience supporting DoW, interagency, or national security missions is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills
Desired Qualifications:

Some qualifications that may help determine which contract may be a good fit for support may include:

  • Familiarity with programming systems (Python, C++, Java, MATLAB)
  • Understanding of CBRNE hazards
  • Knowledge of WMD technologies and proliferation mechanisms
  • Background in technical CBRNE disciplines
  • Strong understanding of WMD threats and non-proliferation regimes
  • Knowledge of international CWMD and CBRN agreements
  • Policy analysis, strategic planning, and research expertise
  • Familiarity with international security or diplomatic environments
  • Background in military medicine, emergency response, or public health
  • Familiarity with DoD medical programs or consortia

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. For part time or on-call staff, compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of Noblis’ total compensation package.


Posted Salary Range: USD $47,840.00 - USD $71,240.00 /Bi.
