Overview:

Highlight is seeking a documentation specialist with experience in Crystal Reports 2020 to support GSA's Fine Arts Systems database team. This individual will collect and interpret technical data or information and coordinate layouts for publication. You will create and publish technical documentations and manuals.  

 

This position is remote, 9-5 EST.

Responsibilities:
  • Gathers and writes technical documents for the installation, operation, and maintenance of information systems in a clear and concise language
  • Writes in clear and concise language, technical documents, procedures manuals service manuals, and related technical publications
  • Ensures that technical documents are written in clear readable format which can be understood by technical and non-technical personnel
  • Reviews, performs quality assurance, and edits established materials as needed
  • Acquires and verifies knowledge by working closely with users
  • Ensures conformance to existing standards by revising text and making
    recommendations to changes in scope where necessary
  • Ensures the appropriate use of technical terminology in IT related documents
  • Works with users and IT staff to understand existing and planned technologies and standards
  • Writes or edits documentation to include materials for reports, manuals, briefings, proposals, instructional materials, catalogs, and software and hardware documentation.
  • Researches and resolves application production problems
  • Assist in the gathering and production or requirements for releases, enhancement and/or upgrades
  • Produce or assist in the production of project/product documents or artifacts as required by the specific software development lifecycle
  • Provide ongoing support in the development of new and updated training that meets the GSA’s standards, e-learning course development and training support, and live and/or webinar train-the trainer training sessions relating to all aspects of course development.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of experience; or
At least four (4) years of specialized experience (no degree requirement).
