Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Northbrook, IL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
Hire Type: Contract, 4+ months (may go longer)
Target Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Work Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week

Job Summary:
Seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide temporary support with updating, organizing, and maintaining company documentation. This position will primarily involve working with Microsoft Word and Excel to make updates to existing documents, organize information, and ensure files are accurate and up to date.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with basic Microsoft Office tools, and able to follow established processes with accuracy. Previous experience with document management, quality systems, or specific software is not required.

Job Duties:
- Update and maintain company documents and files.
- Make basic edits and formatting changes to Microsoft Word documents.
- Add or update information in existing documents and spreadsheets.
- Organize, file, and maintain documentation.
- Review documents for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Enter and update information in Microsoft Excel.
- Compare information and make basic updates to spreadsheets.
- Add items, information, or supporting materials to existing documentation as needed.
- Follow established procedures for organizing and maintaining files.
- Communicate with internal employees regarding documentation updates and questions.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of administrative, clerical, office support, or similar experience preferred.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel for basic document and data updates.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors or missing information.
- Organized and dependable with the ability to manage repetitive tasks accurately.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new processes and systems quickly.
- Previous experience with document control, Quality Management Systems, or MasterControl is helpful, but not required.
