Description

Overview: The Document Imaging Assistant is responsible for the accurate and timely processing, labeling, and archiving of documents within the organization. This position supports the Document Imaging Department and FI by ensuring documents are properly prepared, indexed, and labeled in the Laserfiche repository.

 Essential Duties

Document Processing and Archiving

  • Receive, prepare, and process both physical and electronic documents from various departments.
  • Review and label documents with appropriate metadata according to established guidelines.
  • Ensure documents are accurately archived in the Laserfiche system.
  • Meet established productivity and quality targets set by the department to ensure consistent and timely document processing.

Workflow Support

  • Assist in maintaining organized workflows to ensure documents are processed efficiently.
  • Communicate with team members regarding any document processing issues or needs.
  • Support the team in meeting departmental productivity and quality goals.

System Utilization and Maintenance

  • Use Laserfiche software to upload, index, and retrieve documents as needed.
  • Participate in training opportunities to enhance understanding of document imaging systems and processes.
  • Assist with minor troubleshooting of scanning equipment and escalate issues as necessary.

Compliance and General Duties

  • Comply with organizational guidelines and applicable regulations regarding document imaging and recordkeeping.
  • Report suspected consumer abuse or neglect in accordance with DPPC guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Document Imaging Supervisor.

Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
