Location: Tucson, AZ

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: 7 AM - 4:30 PM (Monday - Thursday) + Fridays (7 AM - 11 AM)

The Document Control Specialist is responsible for the input and quality of drawings, documents, and records in accordance with Quality Management System documentation and/or customer requirements.

Education Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Additional clerical, administrative, or document control training is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, work orders, procedures, and technical documentation.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clerical, administrative, data entry, or document control role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience operating office equipment such as scanners, copiers, and printers.
  • Strong typing, word processing, and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with engineering, manufacturing, quality, or technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with ERP, MRP, PLM, or document management systems such as OnBase.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.

Physical Capabilities

  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Capable of sitting, standing, and performing computer-based work for extended periods.
  • Ability to handle and organize large volumes of documents and records.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the position.

Job Duties

  • Sort, organize, verify, and count printed documents for accurate data entry and record management.
  • Review drawings, work orders, procedures, and reports and enter information into company systems.
  • Prepare, scan, index, and upload documents into OnBase and other electronic document management systems.
  • Conduct audits to ensure documentation accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and customer information.
  • Follow up on requests and ensure timely completion of commitments for internal and external customers.
  • Communicate issues, discrepancies, or concerns clearly in both written and verbal formats.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions while supporting team goals and departmental objectives.

What You Will Do

As a Document Control Specialist you will perform responsibilities that support the daily operations of your assigned employer while following established procedures, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements. Duties may include operating equipment, working with customers, handling materials, preparing documentation, supporting administrative activities, using technology, collaborating with team members, or completing other responsibilities appropriate to the position. Successful Document Control Specialist professionals demonstrate adaptability, professionalism, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing quality work while contributing to organizational success.

Sort, organize, and count printed documentation for data entry into computer systems. Read drawings, work orders, procedures, and reports for data entry into computer systems. Prepare and scan drawings and documents for uploading into OnBase. Complete audits of work completed within the department Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Ability to ensure that commitments to both internal and external customers are met by following up on requests. Able to communicate issues clearly both orally and in writing. Ability to function in a team environment by establishing cooperative working relationships with peers and co-workers. Attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the position.
