Description

Essex Industries is a multi-site aerospace and defense manufacturer serving military and commercial customers worldwide. We are currently seeking a Document Control II/Configuration Specialist to compile, maintain, and manage controlled records and related files. This role is responsible for the accurate release and distribution of drawings, documents, and other controlled information to manufacturing and other departments, helping ensure proper configuration and document control throughout the organization

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare and maintain drawing and document files in a timely, accurate, and efficient fashion, ensuring proper compliance controls are in place throughout the process.
  • Provide support and direct activities on electronic product data management, including customer-related and other external technical data.
  • Assist engineering in minor research tasks, data analysis/metrics, technical data submittals, or other projects as defined by engineering manager.
  • Make available/distribute new and/or changed drawings, documents, etc.
  • Check drawings and documents to ensure proper formatting.
  • Enter/update parts in ERP system and create/update Bill of Materials in ERP system.
  • Compare/validate Bill of Material on drawing matches ERP system.
  • Fulfill any reasonable requests for documentation, drawings, etc.
  • Maintain required number of copies of all items to fulfill site needs.
  • Maintain physical copies of controlled documents between Chivvis and Sunnen locations
  • Scan archived drawings as needed.
  • Maintain Master Drawing Lists.
  • Assist in other areas or with other tasks to meet production needs

Requirements:

High school education or equivalent and 3 to 5 years of engineering related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
