Description
Are you a talented and experienced Document Control Administrator looking for an exciting new opportunity? Look no further than Marvin Test Solutions! You'll have the chance to put your skills to the test in organizing and controlling all types of engineering documents and configuration baselines.
Job Responsibilities
- ECR Processing & Baseline Release: Oversee the complete ECR processing and release workflow, ensuring form, fit, and function compliance for all documentation.
- BOM Management: Handle BOM imports and updates, re-importing upon request, verifying application relationships, and ensuring proper next-assembly mapping and revision control.
- Document & Repository Control: Organize and control all types of engineering documents (work instructions, test procedures, BOMs, schematics, drawings) and maintain document template repositories.
- Export Control & Compliance: Ensure all customer data, draft, restricted proprietary, and export-controlled stamps are present; securely transfer export-controlled packages and SDRLs via designated channels.
- PDC & Historical Data Maintenance: Maintain the Product Data Center (PDC) by fixing broken links and resetting statuses for cancelled or mismanaged ECRs.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with project/program managers and engineering leadership to coordinate document approvals, track project metrics, upload Customer Status Reports (CSRs), and participate in phase gate meetings.
- Process Improvement & Training: Determine process improvement needs, update document control procedures, conduct internal training, and coordinate Quality Procedure (QP) distributions.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree (AS) or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in researching, creating, and managing technical and quality system documentation, especially for military and defense equipment.
- Strong background in electronics, mechanics, and BOM/configuration data structures.
- Experience using enterprise PLM/ERP tools alongside Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Organized, dependable, self-motivated, and goal-oriented team player capable of acting as an uncompromising operational gatekeeper.
- Preference for experience working with USAF or airborne equipment technical manuals.
