    Sign-on Bonus up to $2,000
     
    Position Summary:   
    This position is responsible for performing a variety of skilled duties to support the greater team.  The majority of the time will be working on the dock floor checking inventory/stacking products/checking temperatures, but will assist with loading/unloading trucks and other assigned duties.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Load and ship trailers as well as unload and receive trailers as needed
    • Monitor, maintain, and ensure accurate production product temperatures
    • Monitor, maintain, wrap, and relocate pallets for production line
    • Tag pallets as directed by Production and Quality Assurance
    • Notify Warehouse Manager and Quality Assurance of any quality issues
    • Maintain production flow through continuous monitoring of materials including packaging, product, corrugate, etc.
    • Completing paperwork necessary for inventory control
    • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks
    • Monitor and maintain continuous inventory accuracy through physical counts
    • Communicate with various co-workers and outside companies via phone, email, and in person
    • Relocate trailers to and from dock doors as needed
    • Other duties as assigned
     
    Physical Requirements
    • Lifting up to 65 pounds continuously
    • Occasional squatting, kneeling, stooping, and bending
    • Must be able to perform in a manufacturing environment with temperatures of -10 to -25 for extended period of times
    • Ability to work in alternating sitting and standing positions
    • Ability to comply with all safety requirements and Good Manufacturing Practices

    Skills and Technical Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of food safety including GMP’s, SSOP’s and HACCP
    • Ability to read and understand relevant documents

    • Employee safety knowledge (Knowing what you can do to keep yourself and others free from work injuries)
    • Food safety and quality knowledge (Knowing what you can do to assure safe, high-quality food)
    • Sanitation knowledge (Knowing what you can do to assure a clean facility, equipment and tools)
     
    Preferred Experience:
    • High school diploma or its equivalency.
    • 1 year minimum of forklift experience.
    • Knowledgeable in Microsoft word, excel, outlook.
