DME Insurance Billing Specialist

We are DME (disposable medical equipment) provider seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Billing Specialist to support our Billing Manager and team . This role involves assisting with billing operations, ensuring compliance, and helping the manager oversee daily workflows.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the Billing Manager with daily billing operations and reporting
• Submit and track insurance claims for DME orders
• Verify patient benefits and obtain authorizations
• Review documentation and coding (HCPCS, CPT, ICD-10) for accuracy
• Post payments, resolve denials, and prepare appeals
• Communicate with insurance payers, patients, and internal staff
• Assist with audits and compliance reviews as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year of DME or medical billing experience
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance guidelines
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work closely with management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and billing software. Brightree Experience is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
