We are seeking an experienced DME Billing Specialist to join our team. The company provides medical supplies and equipment directly to patients in their homes and bills insurance companies for these services.
Responsibilities For DME Billing Specialist:
- Handle the full DME billing process
- Submit claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance and eligibility
- Follow up on unpaid, denied, and rejected claims
- Review and correct billing errors
- Work with insurance companies to resolve billing issues
- Maintain accurate patient and billing records
- Ensure claims are submitted accurately and within required timelines
Qualifications For DME Billing Specialist:
- Required: general billing experience
- Experience billing medical supplies/equipment to insurance
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Must be available to work full-time
