    Position Summary



    We are seeking an experienced project management professional that is ready to become a divisional leader for our General Contracting Division. This role is responsible for the operational, financial, and people leadership of the division while ensuring safe, profitable, and high-quality execution of all projects. The Divisional Manager provides strategic direction for project delivery, develops future leaders, drives continuous improvement, and partners with executive leadership to achieve sustainable growth. This position is a hands-on management role with project responsibilities.

    Key Results Areas




    Operational Excellence



    Oversee the successful execution of all projects while improving scheduling, resource utilization, quality, and consistency. Will operate the duties of a Senior Project Manager, as well, until the division grows to a point where those functions are absorbed by other teammates.

    Financial Performance



    Own division profitability through forecasting, budget management, gross margin improvement, and cost control.

    People Leadership



    Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers, Superintendents, and project teams while building succession strength.

    Customer Success



    Maintain executive-level client relationships, resolve escalated issues, and increase repeat business.

    Business Growth



    Support & Perform estimating, strategic pursuits, backlog development, and market expansion.

    Continuous Improvement



    Standardize processes, implement KPIs, leverage technology, and drive operational efficiency.

    Primary Responsibilities




    + Provide overall operational leadership for the General Contracting Division.

    + Direct multiple concurrent industrial and heavy civil projects.

    + Lead project planning, staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.

    + Manage division financial performance, forecasting, and profitability.

    + Review project health, risk, cash flow, and operational KPIs.

    + Coach and mentor Project Managers and Superintendents.

    + Conduct performance evaluations and support recruiting and succession planning.

    + Ensure compliance with safety, quality, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

    + Strengthen client relationships and resolve escalated issues.

    + Lead continuous improvement initiatives and operational standardization.

    + Support business development, estimating strategy, and major proposals.

    + Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning and growth.

    + Estimate project costs and develop solutions to deliver customer desired outcomes.


    Project Management Responsibilities




    + Lead and support project teams in all aspects of safety, quality control, and schedule adherence

    + Interpret architectural and engineering plans and communicate technical details effectively

    + Coordinate with customers to plan work, schedule resources, and monitor progress

    + Develop cost-effective strategies for project execution and ensure budget compliance

    + Understand and enforce contract requirements, including notice procedures and regulatory prerequisites

    + Generate and manage project documentation including subcontracts, purchase orders, change orders, profit forecasts, and pay applications

    + Create high-level construction estimates and perform quantity takeoffs and unit pricing

    + Work with the Chief Financial Officer to negotiate subcontracts and change orders with subcontractors, suppliers, and owners

    + Assist in RFQ/RFP preparation and participate in proposal presentations

    + Review submittals for compliance and coordinate with design engineers

    + Ensure required contractor licenses and professional certifications are maintained and renewed as necessary.

    + Identify and cultivate future business opportunities

    + Ensure compliance with OSHA guidelines and company safety policies

    + Demonstrate proficiency in project management software and scheduling tools

    + Independently manage complex project timelines and deliverables

    Required Qualifications




    + 7+ years of progressive construction leadership experience in precision concrete, industrial, and/or heavy civil construction.

    + Experience with precision concrete in industrial facilities.

    + Proven ability to evaluate and estimate pit work costs and scope.

    + Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects and operational teams.

    + Experience estimating and leading projects.

    + Strong financial, contractual, and operational management skills.

    + Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.

    + OSHA certification and valid driver's license.


    Preferred Qualifications




    + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

    + Experience with manufacturing, industrial, or energy sector projects.

    + Lean Construction or continuous improvement experience.

    + P&L responsibility for a business unit or division.
