  • Work with the Operations team to support initiatives within the business.
  • Negotiate with external partners, vendors and customers with divergent interests to reach a common goal.

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate Divisional reports in line with the company timetable, including monthly reporting, plans and forecasts.
  • Prepare cost-benefit reports and proactive analysis to improve BU performance.
  • Assess forecast and plan submissions and identify risks and opportunities in the underlying assumptions.

  • Provide ad hoc support and financial analysis as required.

Planning, Budgeting and Strategy

  • Plan and execute budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes, and standard management reporting.

Financial Governance and Controls

  • Ensure CBRE and statutory reporting and governance obligations are met and applied consistently across the division.
  • Hold Division finance managers accountable for balance sheet governance and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control requirements.
  • Develop financial policies and procedures, along with targets and benchmarking processes, to challenge the financial information that divisional finance staff provide.
  • Manage overheads actively and look for efficiency savings.
  • Provide information and resolve issues raised by external and internal auditors.

Leadership and People Management

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, give regular feedback and guidance to BU finance managers, and oversee recruiting and hiring. Track training and development and conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Build, lead and motivate a diverse, effective team and empower members to take responsibility and accountability. Coordinate the team's daily activities: set work schedules, assign tasks, cross-train staff, and set and track deadlines.
  • Lead structured performance management, personal development, talent and succession activities to build a strong pipeline of talent, and communicate regularly with divisional finance and contract support staff on operational objectives and achievements.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Controllership, BSO and FP&A. Make sure business issues are identified promptly, escalated to the right level and tracked through the monthly contract, project and Division review process.
  • Work with management to establish departmental priorities to meet deadlines, applying strong knowledge of multiple disciplines, the business, and the key drivers that affect departmental and cross-functional performance.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values. Persuade managers and colleagues to take action, guided by the organization's functional business plans.
  • Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational and organizational problems using the right resources within or outside the department, and significantly improve existing methods, processes and standards within the job discipline.
