    Description

    Role: Divisional Accountant
    Location: Phoenix, AZ 85016
    Setting: 100% in office
    Hours: Full-time, business hours with overlap with Phoenix office hours
    Duration: Direct Hire

    We're seeking a Divisional Accountant to serve as the key connection between our Construction Operations and Accounting teams. This role combines construction accounting, project financial analysis, and business partnership, helping project managers understand project performance while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
    What You'll Do
    • Partner with Project Managers to review budgets, job costs, profitability, and project financial performance
    • Prepare and analyze WIP reports, job cost reports, and budget-to-actual variances
    • Calculate and reconcile monthly accruals, including project-related costs, taxes, and insurance
    • Support month-end and year-end close activities, journal entries, and account reconciliations
    • Assist with revenue recognition, contract administration, and financial compliance
    • Coordinate AR follow-up, payment tracking, and project accounting support
    • Help optimize processes within Procore, Oracle Fusion, and other project accounting systems
    What We're Looking For
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Construction Management
    • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within construction or project-based environments
    • Knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, GAAP, and construction revenue recognition
    • Experience with ERP systems such as Procore, Oracle Fusion, Sage, or similar
    • Advanced Excel skills and strong financial analysis capabilities
    • Ability to communicate financial information effectively with operations and project teams
    • CPA (or progress toward CPA) is a plus
    • Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot is a plus
