The Chief Medical Executive (CME) is a key member of the Hospital's Senior Administrative Team with primary activities in medical staff relations, quality of care, patient safety, care continuity, patient experience, and Division/system leadership. This role reports directly to the Division Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and works closely with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Nurse Executive (CNE), local and Sutter System Quality Team and the Division Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to ensure the delivery of accessible patient-centered, high-quality, safe and equitable care. The CME plays a vital role in care integration and aligning local initiatives with Division and System strategies.

Job Description:

Education/Certification/Licensure

Required:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Eligible for California physician licensure.

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Business, Medical Management, Public Health, or a related field.
• Board Certified or Board eligible.

Equivalent Education/Experience:

• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Pay Range is $206,500.00 to $279,450.00 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
