Develop and manages the direction and daily activities of the Chelsea Products Division''s materials and services with the focus on people, organization, process and information technology. This includes the S&OP Process to support the manufacturing cycle, and ensuring timely logistical processing of product. Responsible for embracing and driving lean enterprise systems throughout the division supply chain. This position reports to the General Manager with additional accountability to the Motion Systems Group Supply Chain Manager.

This person will manage the complete material control process including procurement, production/inventory control, and transportation logistics. Interaction with all levels of other functions including Operations, Sales, Engineering, Quality Control, Marketing and Finance is key to business performance. Frequent interaction with suppliers is required as well as occasional interaction with customers.

• Manages overall strategic production planning practices; Executes best cost sourcing strategies during major outsourcing projects
• Implements a lean approach to materials management including material flow and inventory control;
• Completes demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure the availability of all materials and products at minimum cost. Establishes and implements standard re-order and delivery procedures
• Employs data analysis and information technology to improve division performance; utilizes forecasting tools to create effective demand management processes
• Analyzes inventories and develops and executes plans to reduce DSI; Responsible for DSI and related metrics
• Implements logistics management techniques globally including import/export management, total cost management, and duty/tariff management.
• Develops and implements logistical strategies to ensure the distribution of products and materials domestically and globally
• Plans transportation routes that minimize cost and enable meeting/exceeding customers' service expectations
• Implements sophisticated transportation system such as Parker's transportation management system and freight recovery

Education & Experience

• Ideal candidate has 8 or more years of experience in Supply Chain, with at least 4 or more years of experience in a leadership role
• Previous work experience ideally includes experience in Sourcing & Procurement, Logistics & Transportation, Materials Management, and Customer Service
• 4-year university degree (or international equivalent) required; Ideal candidate has studied Business Administration, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management. Completion of a Master''s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related area is beneficial. •Proficiency using an ERP system is required. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred.

• Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper opportunities
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must embrace lean enterprises principles and practices
