Division Director 3 Aviation (Concessions & Business Development)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree. Five years of administrative experience in retail management, real estate development/management, or a related field, including supervisory experience, are required. Additional administrative experience in retail management, real estate development/management, or a related field, including supervisory experience, may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis. Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and such other procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.

Recruitment Notes

This position is responsible for three Airport Revenue-producing Divisional Sections: Concessions, Permits, Commercial Operations, and one system performance Section, Revenue Budget, and Systems Performance. This position will be responsible for issuing new solicitations, extensions of Leases and Permits agreements, renovations, and construction of new concessions at the Airport. Additionally, the Division Director 3 will conduct high-level negotiations and make complex decisions affecting business contract terms and conditions. The Division Director 3 will assist the Assistant Director in planning and directing a complex airport business development program, including commercial operations, hospitality, and transportation services through subordinates, executives, managers, and supervisors. This position requires the Division Director 3 to exercise extensive independent judgment and professional managerial knowledge in directing the concession operations at Miami International Airport (MIA).
