King Countys Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) provides equitable opportunities for people to be healthy, happy, and connected to community. Largely through contracting with a trusted network of community-based agencies, DCHS administers over $1 billion in public funds a year to provide King County residents with much-needed services for youth and young adult education and employment, supports for children and their families, behavioral health prevention and treatment, housing and community development, veterans, older adults, womens program services, and developmental disabilities to help our countys most vulnerable residents and strengthen our communities. DCHS envisions a welcoming community that is racially just, as the field of human services exists to undo and mitigate unfair structures. We seek to lead the way by working as respectful and responsible stewards for the King County community.
The Behavioral Health and Recovery Division (BHRD) of DCHS is looking for a Diversion and Reentry Services Program Specialist to help perform utilization management (UM) duties for the Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) and participate in administrative operations and program development activities for PACT and other Diversion and Reentry Services (DRS) behavioral health programs. This position will hold direct responsibility for conducting centralized PACT UM functions for a County-wide network of PACT providers, performing system-level resource and care coordination for participants in DRS programs, and providing technical assistance and monitoring of agencies providing PACT and other behavioral health services in King County.
