District Technology Coordinator

Duties

This position is for the 2026-2027 school year.

Primary Function:

Oversees district technology systems to ensure reliability, security, and instructional support.

Key Responsibilities

Systems Management

  • Maintain network infrastructure, servers, and devices including desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, etc.
  • Monitor system performance and quality
  • Coordinates with administration on long-term technology strategy
  • Manage software systems and licensing

Technical Support

  • Provide support to staff and students through the ticketing system
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Solicitates feedback from staff and administration
  • Coordinate repairs and replacements in a timely manner

Cybersecurity & Data Protection

  • Implement cybersecurity protocols
  • Ensure protection of student and staff data
  • Monitor system vulnerabilities and risks

Instructional Support

  • Support classroom technology integration
  • Assist with staff training and implementation
  • Coordinate all district technology upgrades
  • Train staff on SOPPA regulations, and new tech to use in classrooms.
  • Be a resource to staff in selecting and implementing emerging technologies
  • Be a resource to staff in the realm of AI and effective, appropriate uses in the classroom
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications

Background and Experience with School Technology preferred.

A college degree in the Technology field preferred.

Physical Capabilities and Working Conditions

  • Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, and working in confined or elevated spaces.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull technology equipment, tools, supplies, and materials, including items of varying weights.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
  • Ability to safely work with technology infrastructure, including network equipment, cabling, servers, wiring, and equipment located in offices, classrooms, ceilings, closets, and other areas.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to emergency maintenance situations and perform duties requiring physical exertion.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or outside regular school hours when necessary for system maintenance, upgrades, emergencies, or district events.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary/Benefits

Competitive Regional Salary and Benefits.

Salary Range $55,000-$70,000 based on professional experience and skill.
