    Science Content Work That Connects Classrooms

    The District Science Content Team Lead works with other Content Team Leads and the Director of Teaching and Learning to help plan and facilitate district team meetings. This role supports shared learning around science content, standards, and curriculum work across the district, while helping the team build clear next steps that can be shared back with building teams.

    Terms of Employment and Salary

    As outlined by and in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) of Nine Mile Falls Education Association (NMEA) and the Policies and Procedures of Nine Mile Falls School District.     Stipend: $1,955 for the 2026-2027 school year, paid in accordance with the NMEA Collective Bargaining Agreement, Appendix B - Supplemental Salary Schedule.

    Work Location: District-wide

    Nature and Scope of Job:

    Co-lead professional learning for the district-wide Science team, based on current science content, standards, and district curriculum goals. Lead district-wide content team meetings. Act as a liaison between the district-wide Science team and the building teams, supporting clear communication and implementation of content strategies.

    Position Reports To: Director of Teaching and Learning

    Primary Job Functions

    • Lead instructional growth and curriculum development for the district-wide Science team.
    • Plan, lead and facilitate a minimum of three Science team meetings and collaborate on curriculum improvement strategies.
    • Ensure open and ongoing communication with district science teachers, and building administrators, to ensure goals and action plans are implemented and achieved.

    Contract Term: Continuing Replacement Supplemental

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Requirements (Traits, Education, Certifications, Experience, Training, Physical Requirements, etc.):

    • Current Certificated staff member of the Nine Mile Falls School District
    • Science Teacher
    • Science Fellows

    Desired Qualifications

    • Leadership Experience
    • Advanced degree in Education or a related field
    • Experience with curriculum design and implementation
