POSITION TITLE: District Parent Engagement Coordinator

SALARY RANGE: Starting Hourly Rate $30-$35/hr

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Chief financial Officer/Chief Operating Officer/Superintendent

OVERVIEW:

Position Summary

The District Parent Engagement Coordinator supports the Chief Financial Officer in advancing

district-wide engagement, enrollment growth, and strategic communication initiatives. This role

works cross-functionally with the Communications Department, Legal, Enrollment, Curriculum,

Student Services, Bilingual Department, and school-based teams to ensure consistent

messaging, elevate family voice, and strengthen connections between schools and the

community.

The coordinator helps design and implement marketing strategies that clearly communicate

school options, highlight district strengths, and support family engagement efforts that contribute

to student enrollment and retention.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Marketing & Enrollment Support

? Collaborate with the CFO and Communications team to support district-wide enrollment

initiatives.

? Assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies that promote district

programs, school choice options, and student opportunities.

? Help create clear, family-friendly materials that explain enrollment processes and school

offerings.

? Analyze engagement and participation trends to help inform outreach efforts and

messaging.

Communications Collaboration

? Work alongside the Communications Department to ensure consistent, streamlined

messaging across schools and departments.

? Support development of district marketing materials, including:

? School Options Guides

? Individual School Profiles

? Family-facing informational resources

? Assist with coordination of marketing campaigns aligned to district goals and timelines.

PTO & Family Engagement Support

? Partner with the CFO to strengthen relationships with Parent Teacher Organizations

(PTOs) across the district.

? Support district-wide PTO engagement efforts, helping align school-based activities with

broader district initiatives.

? Assist in planning collaborative opportunities that connect PTO leadership with district

priorities.

Elevating Parent Voice

? Work with Student Services and the Bilingual Department to ensure inclusive outreach

and representation of diverse family perspectives.

? Help design strategies that amplify parent voices and improve access to information for

multilingual families.

? Support development of culturally responsive engagement materials and events.

Project Coordination & Implementation

? Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and collaboration across departments for marketing

and engagement initiatives.

? Maintain organized systems for tracking projects, materials, and communication efforts.

? Assist in evaluating effectiveness of initiatives and recommending improvements.

Qualifications

? Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, Education, or

related field preferred.

? Experience in marketing, communications, community engagement, or school/public-

sector environments preferred.

? Strong organizational and project coordination skills.

? Ability to collaborate across multiple departments and manage competing priorities.

? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

? Demonstrated ability to create clear, accessible messaging for diverse audiences.

? Commitment to equity, inclusion, and family engagement.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

? Understanding of marketing principles and community outreach strategies.

? Ability to translate complex information into user-friendly materials.

? Skilled in relationship-building with school staff, families, and community partners.

? Proficiency with digital tools, document creation, and collaborative platforms.

? Capacity to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Working Conditions

? Office-based with regular visits to schools and participation in district and community

events.

? Occasional evening or weekend work to support family engagement activities.
