General maintenance Technician
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Graduate; demonstrates knowledge General maintenance; experience in the mentioned fields or alternative experience as acceptable to the Board; valid New Jersey driver's license; New Jersey Black Seal Boiler License Preferred or must be acquired within 24 months of hiring.
REPORTS TO: Director of facilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Repairing and maintaining building equipment and fixtures, such as doors, locks, windows, masonry, drywall, flooring, and furniture
Responsible for minor heating, Plumbing, and electrical repairs as assigned
Assisting trade technicians
Performing routine maintenance tasks and inspections
Assists in the supervision of contracted services by outside contractors.
Develops and maintains an inventory of spare parts for equipment repairs
Supervises maintenance employees assigned to assist the technician.
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Buildings and Grounds.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month work year
SALARY: 50,000-75,000
