    Sigma Inc. is currently seeking a Distribution Technician to support warehouse operations, inventory management, and domestic/international shipping activities for our client in Gainesville, GA. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping/receiving, order fulfillment, and computerized inventory systems.

    The Distribution Technician will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing shipments, receiving and inspecting materials, and ensuring safe and efficient warehouse operations.

    Important Requirement: Candidates may not own or have contact with birds or poultry.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform inventory control activities including cycle counting, inventory tracking, documentation, and discrepancy research.
    • Maintain accurate computerized inventory records and update inventory systems as needed.
    • Pick, pack, verify, and prepare domestic and international shipments.
    • Receive, inspect, screen, label, prepare, and store inventory materials.
    • Handle warehouse products including:
      • Freeze-dried materials (2–7°C)
      • Frozen materials (-196°C LN / -80°C Dry Ice)
      • Temperature-controlled warehouse items (2–25°C)
    • Ensure shipment accuracy through proper verification and documentation.
    • Operate warehouse equipment including pallet jacks and forklifts (training/license required).
    • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
    • Support changing priorities while maintaining productivity and accuracy.
    • Work independently while managing multiple warehouse responsibilities.
    • Perform physical warehouse activities including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, stooping, and twisting.

    Required Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum of 1 year of warehouse, distribution, or inventory control experience preferred.
    • Experience with:
      • Inventory management systems
      • Shipping and receiving processes
      • Picking and packing orders
      • Order verification and documentation
    • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn warehouse systems quickly.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift and/or pallet jack operator certification.
    • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 lbs. and move materials approximately 10 feet.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods while performing warehouse tasks.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to remain focused and productive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexible availability, including occasional weekend work.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 75 lbs.

    • Ability to stand and walk for long periods during the workday.
    • Manual dexterity and visual accuracy required for inventory handling, labeling, and documentation.
