In this role, you"ll spend your days in the field inspecting electrical distribution systems, documenting utility assets, collecting data, and supporting projects that help keep communities powered safely and reliably.

What You"ll Be Doing

As a Distribution Field Technician, you"ll travel throughout the Dayton area with a teammate to perform field inspections and collect critical information about electrical infrastructure.

Your day may include:

  • Inspecting utility poles, overhead power lines, underground facilities, and electrical equipment
  • Measuring and mapping electrical distribution systems
  • Documenting utility assets using tablets, GPS units, and electronic field tools
  • Conducting pole inspections and equipment audits
  • Supporting permitting, inventory, and asset management projects
  • Preparing field reports and minor work orders
  • Recording measurements using height sticks and range finders
  • Assisting with distribution design and infrastructure improvement projects
  • Working closely with teammates to safely complete daily assignments

Work Environment

You"ll start each day at our Dayton-area office before heading into the field with your team. Most project locations are within approximately one hour of the office.

This is a field-focused position where you"ll spend the majority of your day outdoors conducting inspections and collecting data while contributing to projects that improve and maintain critical electrical infrastructure.

The schedule typically consists of four 10-hour days, giving you an extra day off each week while maintaining full-time hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dayton, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
