Position Summary
Our Team is seeking a qualified individual to fill our Distribution Center Specialist (DCS) – Toner Runner role. This position is primarily responsible for the delivery and pickup of supplies to and from our customers in the greater Boise area. In addition to running toner, this individual will assist in supporting the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and distributing office equipment, parts, and supplies. The role requires a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, strong attention to detail, efficient work habits, and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Be able to drive safely and courteously in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Spend the majority of the day on the road making deliveries.
- Be able to interact well with customers, including going “above and beyond” when needed.
- Maintain the Toner Car, including refueling, routine maintenance, and reporting any issues.
- Plan delivery routes to maximize efficiency
In addition to the responsibilities above, between runs or on slow days the DCS - Toner Runner will assist with the Distribution Team responsibilities below.
- Receive incoming shipments of office equipment, parts and supplies.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and condition, noting any discrepancies or damages. Initiating the claim process as required.
- Unload and unpack shipments, verifying the quantity and condition against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Organize and store equipment, parts and supplies in designated warehouse areas.
- Accurately record inventory movement in the system.
- Prepare items for shipment, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
- Assist in loading and unloading delivery trucks as needed.
- Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance of the warehouse.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly, including shipping and receiving records.
- Work closely with other warehouse associates, drivers and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Follow warehouse safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist in training new warehouse employees on company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Must Meet company insurability standards and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to drive safely for extended periods (approximately 8-hours throughout the day with breaks) of time and in all weather and traffic conditions.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Ability to lift, carry and move heavy objects up to 75 lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Ability to stand, walk and move around the warehouse for extended periods.
- Ability to work in varying temperature conditions, including cold and heat.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle physical workloads.
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook
- Forklift experience preferred but not required.
