POSITION SUMMARY:
The Distance Education Coordinator assists the Director of Online Learning & Strategy in advancement of Duquesne University's distance education initiatives. This role ensures student and faculty success through high-quality online learning experiences while maintaining institutional regulatory compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages compliance with Distance Education regulations, manage State Authorization and Professional Licensure process for compliance.
Supports best practices in online course and program delivery. This includes use of rubrics to evaluate online instruction to ensure quality standards and Regular & Substantive Interaction (RSI) requirements are met.
Supports University Digital Accessibility efforts to achieve and maintain WCAG 2.1 compliance.
Represents the Office of Online Learning and Strategy [Distance Education] at both internal and external events and trainings.
Utilizes emerging technologies and remain current on best practices in distance and higher education to support strategic goals.
Assists faculty and staff with recording and post-production of instructional videos utilizing recording studios.
Completes other duties as assigned.
