Position Overview
TenSeven Security is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Security Operations Center (SOC) Operator / Dispatcher to join our growing team.
Our SOC operates 24/7 and serves as the central command center for our security operations. This position is responsible for monitoring live security cameras, coordinating field personnel, dispatching officers, responding to alarms and incidents, and maintaining communication with clients and law enforcement.
The ideal candidate can multitask, remain calm under pressure, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor live security camera feeds across multiple client properties and identify suspicious activity, safety concerns, and security threats.
Dispatch security officers, mobile patrol units, and supervisors to incidents and service calls.
Maintain continuous radio and telephone communication with field personnel.
Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services when necessary.
Monitor alarms, access control systems, and other security technology.
Document incidents, dispatch activity, and officer communications accurately.
Track officer activity, patrol completion, and response status using security management software.
Communicate professionally with clients, employees, and emergency responders.
Follow established emergency response procedures and escalation protocols.
Manage multiple incidents and priorities simultaneously.
Qualifications
Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional during emergencies.
Comfortable working with computers, multiple monitors, radios, and security software.
Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and make decisions within established procedures.
Dependable attendance and willingness to work assigned shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Previous experience in security operations, emergency dispatch, law enforcement, surveillance monitoring, or a related field preferred but not required.
