Summary:
As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for taking calls and organizing the daily routes for sales and service technicians. The main duties center around achieving a fuel and time-efficient route.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and optimize daily schedules and service routes for HVAC and plumbing technicians to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Dispatch technicians based on skill set, location, availability, job priority, and estimated completion times.
- Monitor technician schedules throughout the day and make real-time adjustments to keep jobs moving and minimize delays.
- Communicate clearly with technicians and customers regarding appointments, scheduling changes, job status, and service needs.
- Use dispatching and scheduling technology to streamline operations, improve response times, and maintain accurate job information.
- Prioritize emergency and time-sensitive service calls while balancing the overall workload and technician availability.
- Track daily routes and appointments to ensure technicians have the information, tools, and time needed to complete jobs successfully.
- Work closely with management, technicians, and customers to resolve scheduling conflicts and keep field operations running smoothly.
- Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and quick decision-making are essential.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatching.
- Trades knowledge is a plus.
- Strong customer service and data entry skills.
