As a Dispatcher, you'll play a critical role in coordinating driver schedules, planning routes, and ensuring timely deliveries. Youll work closely with drivers and management to anticipate challenges before they arise, making quick decisions that enhance overall efficiency.
What You'll Do
As a Dispatcher, you will be responsible for:
- Plan and assign driver schedules daily and weekly, balancing driver hours, equipment availability, and customer commitments
- Proactively plan routes and loads in advance, while adjusting quickly to customer requests and unforeseen situations
- Communicate daily with up to 50 drivers, tracking dispatch status, locations, and schedules accurately throughout the day
- Create shipping and dispatch documents, including border crossing paperwork
- Maintain detailed records of dispatched calls, driver routes, delivery and pickup times, attendance, quotas, and vehicle maintenance history
- Assist drivers with ELDs and monitor hours of service compliance
- Identify potential scheduling conflicts or equipment issues early and resolve them independently
What You'll Bring

- Self-motivation, with strong problem-solving skills to find answers independently
- Excellent organization skills, multitasking ability, and attention to detail
- Problem-solving aptitude and positive influence strategies
- CDL license and/or a background in trucking are highly preferred
