Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of freight and managing fleet operations. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with logistics software and transportation planning is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely delivery of freight and efficient routing of vehicles.
- Communicate effectively with drivers and clients to provide updates and resolve issues
- Perform data entry tasks related to shipment management, fleet management, and inventory control
- Collaborate with 3PL providers to ensure seamless logistics operations
- Monitor fleet performance and address any operational challenges that arise during transit
- Collaborate with team members to optimize routes and improve overall efficiency with the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies throughout the dispatch process.
Experience:
- 1 Year of Dispatching (preferred)
- Experience in logistics or dispatching, with a solid understanding of fleet management principles is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with freight operations and transportation management systems
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) to effectively interact with drivers and clients
- Proficient in data entry with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in records.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high levels of organization.
