We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our transportation team.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation services, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services
- Communicate with drivers and customers to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
- Monitor traffic and weather conditions to anticipate and avoid potential delays or issues
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to transportation services
- Maintain accurate records of transportation services, including schedules, routes, and driver information
- Provide support and assistance to drivers as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Continuously evaluate and improve transportation services to meet customer needs and expectations
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar role
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards
- Proficient in using computer software, including transportation management systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
