Description
Overview:Responsible for scheduling and dispatching drivers, equipment, and loads to ensure timely, efficient delivery of products. Works closely with Production, Shipping, and Transportation teams to keep operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and dispatch drivers, trucks, and equipment
- Monitor routes, delivery status, and driver availability
- Coordinate with production and warehouse teams on load readiness
- Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards
- Maintain dispatch logs and prepare daily reports
- Support and guide dispatch staff and/or drivers
Qualifications:
- 2+ years in dispatch, logistics, or transportation
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with dispatch or fleet management systems
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations a plus
Work Environment:Fast‑paced production/transportation setting with shifting priorities and occasional schedule flexibility.
