    Join Our Team: Dispatch & Part-Time Driver (Entry Level)

    Are you looking for a rewarding career with a team that values a friendly, customer-centered attitude? We are seeking motivated individuals for our Dispatch and Part-Time Driver position. This is an entry-level role where we provide the training you need to succeed!

    Starting Pay: $19.00 per hour
    Sign-on Bonus: $500.00 New Hire Incentive (awarded after successful completion of the three-month training period)

    The Role

    This unique position combines clerical dispatching duties with active driving responsibilities. You will serve as a vital link between our customers and our transportation services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Dispatching & Scheduling: Receive written and phone requests for transportation and efficiently assign and schedule customer reservations.
    • Driving: Operate vehicles and provide transportation services as needed.
    • Customer Service: Maintain a friendly, professional, and service-oriented demeanor with all passengers and callers.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    No experience? No problem! We will train qualified candidates.

    • Clerical Skills: Basic clerical skills are required to manage scheduling and communications.
    • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age to hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
    • Driving Record:
      • Must have a good driving record for the past 3 years (no more than one moving violation or one at-fault accident).
      • No DUI convictions within the last 10 years.
    • Documentation: Ability to provide proof of personal auto insurance.
    • Background:
      • A verifiable, positive work history with no separations due to substance abuse violations.
      • Because RMTD provides transportation for Federal and State programs, we may not hire persons with felony convictions.
    • CDL Licensing: You must obtain a CDL license (including passenger and air brake tests) within one month of employment. RMTD will train qualified candidates.
    • Attitude: A customer-focused and positive mindset is essential.

    • DOT Compliance: Applicants must meet DOT physical qualifications (49 CFR 391.41).
    • Physical Demands: Drivers must be able to lift 50 pounds to assist clients, as well as bend, stoop, and kneel to perform wheelchair securement and assist passengers as required by ADA regulations.
