Job Title: DishwasherDepartment: Edibles / Beverage / Packaging (as applicable)Pay: $18.00/hourReports To: Production Supervisor or Department ManagerLocation: Rochester, NY | Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:00 PM - 8:00 PMPosition SummaryThe Dishwasher / Sanitation Technician supports safe, efficient manufacturing by cleaning, sanitizing, organizing, and staging food-grade production equipment, utensils, containers, and work areas. This role helps maintain cGMP, food-safety, sanitation, and cross-contamination controls across Edibles, Beverage, Packaging, and other assigned production areas.Essential ResponsibilitiesWash, rinse, sanitize, inspect, and properly store utensils, molds, pans, tanks, containers, tools, machine parts, and other production equipment.Maintain the dishwashing and sanitation areas in a clean, orderly, and audit-ready condition throughout the shift.Perform scheduled and as-needed deep cleaning of sinks, floors, drains, walls, stainless-steel surfaces, equipment, and production workspaces.Follow approved sanitation procedures, chemical concentrations, contact times, allergen controls, and cross-contamination prevention practices.Safely prepare, label, use, and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets and company procedures.Transport cleaned and sanitized items to designated storage or production staging areas without compromising sanitation status.Complete sanitation logs, checklists, chemical records, and other required documentation accurately and on time.Identify and immediately report damaged tools, equipment concerns, pest activity, spills, safety hazards, or sanitation issues.Support trash, recycling, compost, and regulated waste handling in accordance with company procedures.Assist production teams with basic cleaning, staging, and material-handling tasks when primary sanitation duties are complete.Follow all cGMP, food-safety, PPE, security, and workplace safety requirements.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Previous experience in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, cannabis, or other regulated manufacturing is preferred but not required.Ability to follow written procedures, chemical instructions, sanitation schedules, and supervisor direction.Dependable attendance, punctuality, attention to detail, and a consistent sense of urgency.Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with production and sanitation team members.Comfort working around cannabis products and in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.Physical and Work RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks.Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds.Frequent exposure to water, humidity, cleaning chemicals, temperature changes, wet floors, and moderate production noise.Ability to wear required PPE, which may include gloves, safety glasses, protective footwear, hair restraints, and other sanitation garments.Flexibility to support multiple departments and occasional schedule adjustments based on production needs.This job description summarizes the primary responsibilities of the role and is not intended to be an exhaustive list.
